Dress up Raina
This game is autobiographical, reflecting my personal experiences during middle and high school in Korea. In Korean culture, people are highly conscious of how others perceive them, and they often feel judged and evaluated by others. As a result, we place great importance on our public image, which influences our choices in clothing, makeup, and behavior. This societal pressure often leads to significant stress, as people constantly worry, “How do I look to others?”
This game mirrors those experiences, capturing the struggles and decisions of students trying to express themselves under external scrutiny. Players must navigate strict rules and societal expectations to create their unique style. The game humorously explores the challenges of maintaining individuality under pressure while critiquing the societal norms that perpetuate such behavior.
The game's ending highlights how the character’s outfit is judged and scored by others. This serves as a satirical commentary on the widespread tendency in Korean society to evaluate people based on superficial appearances. Through this, the game aims to provoke thought about these behaviors and their implications.
